Appearance wise the gloves look better than the smx 1 and offer more leather protection. Carbon knuckle protection adds to the sporty aggressive look. Overall i don t recommend due to the weak stitching. The protection of leather and the airflow of stretch mesh make the alpinestars spx air carbon v2 gloves an excellent option for hot weather riding.
