Applying Vinyl Stickers To Glass

It is best to hand wash this type of thing though personally i do put mugs with the same vinyl through the dishwasher and they re totally fine. While i m looking at my computer i lay mine on top of the glass first to gauge where i want everything.

Cut out your wording with whatever color vinyl you want weed it and then start putting the vinyl on glass part of your frame. They can really stand out if only on the vinyl but it looks like it was meant to be that way if you cover the whole mug. To seal vinyl decals on mugs simply cover the entire mug with some dishwasher safe mod podge.

How to avoid bubbles when applying vinyl when working with vinyl and other similar materials much of the finished product depends on your techniques. Continue holding the sticker securely as you place it on a wet or dry surface. We recommend that you cover the entire mug and not just the decal because you will see some little brushstrokes. Once again focus on one section at a time and press from the middle out towards the edge.

Aim to do this in a fluid motion to prevent any air bubbles from forming. Use the least amount of tape as possible. To start on the other side remove the remaining backing paper. Place the middle of the design down on the glass first lining up the bottom edge with the water line left below.

So cut the tape and the backing down as close to the vinyl as you can before peeling off the tape to transfer it to the glass. Now you have one side completely done. To apply adhesive decals clean the area properly remove the protective cover position the decal and use a hard plastic object like a credit card to apply it and remove bubbles. This allows the adhesive to fully adhere.

Use your burnishing tool or scraper to ensure it is completely stuck down. When applying vinyl to glass you need to leave the finished project for a day or two afterwards before using and washing it. Burnish the decal.
